Common names: Anise hyssop
Light needs: Full direct sunlight, but can tolerate partial shade.
Best temperatures: Best grown out doors in Zones 6-10.
Water and humidity needs: Allow to dry between waterings.
Growing guidelines: Harvest fresh leaves as necessary throughout the summer if desired as an herb. Best time to collect leaves is just before blooming.
Common problems: Spider mites and aphids.
Propagation: Tip cuttings and seed.
Comments: Leaves have a distinctive licorice scent and flavor. Attracts bees to the garden, and it is an excellent herb.
